Desert Wolf Tours

Arizona’s foremost self-drive tour outfit, we provide unique tours to proprietary attractions that no other company can offer. Because we’re family owned, and local to Arizona, we don’t believe in cookie-cutter experiences…we have several offerings for families, couples, the more adventurous, group, and corporate guests. And because we’re so near to most Scottsdale/Phoenix resorts, you’ll be able to spend more time in the desert and less time in somebody else’s van.

Visit us at DesertWolfTours.com for more information or to book a trip.

Off-Road Driving Fun

Driving the Tomcars is great fun. They are very easy to handle and don't require shifting, clutching or an complicated system. It's as thrilling as you want to make it, but we do make sure you are driving at a safe and reasonable speed.

The Reason

Lying-down

In a previous post, we asked, "Why do so many DWT guests feel the need to lie down…?"

The reason so many of our guests lay down in the desert is so that they can feel the whoosh and see the effect of their newly gained skills!

Don't Worry. You Won't Get Soaked

Riding around in the desert in an open Tomcar can get admittedly hot. When you come over the hill and see the Agua Fria River though, you'll swear it's a mirage. The river's depth varies with the season and can range from bone dry to a good size current. If you're lucky enough to hit it in season, stop first and put your hands in. It feels nice and cool.

Why do so many DWT guests feel the need to lie down...?

There are many ways to do team-building, but maybe none are quite as unique as taking a self-driven excursion into the desert. Take turns cheering each other on as you navigate the trails of the Sonoran Desert. Whether you need an group get-away from conference or looking for a specific team-building activity, we can accommodate your adventure.

Firearms Fun For All Ages

Boling

Shooting isn't just for guys and it certainly isn't just for the young. We've had guys and gals from all age experience our firearm training. Some want to get a better handle on gun safety, while other's just want to shoot a machine gun at least once in their life. No matter what the reason, our NRA certified rifle and pistol instructors will make sure your experience is safe, exciting and fun.

Drive and Shoot

Drive-and-shoot

One of the unique things about Desert Wolf Tours is that our customers get to both drive the vehicles and shoot the guns. However, this doesn't mean we hand over the keys and the ammunition and leave you to figure it out. At all times you will be in the very capable hands of our trained guides who will not only ride along with you as you navigate the trails of the desert, but will provide full firearm training with an emphasis on safety. Our customers often create a lasting relationship with our guides and stay in contact with each other well after the tour is over.
